Job Posting Rules & Content Guidelines
These rules keep Servisu of Timor trustworthy for jobseekers and useful for Employers. They apply to every vacancy and profile. Breaking them leads to removal; repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension.
Honest vacancies
- A vacancy must be a real, currently open job. No “ghost” jobs posted to collect CVs.
- State the salary or a salary range, the location (at least the municipality), and the real requirements.
- Mark a vacancy as filled or closed promptly once hiring is done.
- The Employer must have the right to hire for the role.
No fees to workers — ever
- You may not charge a jobseeker any fee to apply, to be considered, to be interviewed, or to be hired.
- You may not use the platform to advertise “paid placement”, “guaranteed visa”, or overseas jobs that require the worker to pay a recruiter.
- Any post that asks a worker for money is removed, and the account is reviewed for a ban.
Fair treatment
- No discriminatory conditions based on ethnicity, religion, disability, gender or region beyond a genuine, lawful occupational requirement.
- Respect applicants’ data — a profile shared with you for a vacancy is for that hiring decision, not for resale or spam.
Prohibited
- Fake or misleading vacancies, or jobs the poster has no authority to offer
- Recruitment-scam content: upfront fees, “fixer” services, fake overseas placements
- Requests for a worker’s passport or original documents as a condition of applying
- Contact details placed to move applicants off-platform to bypass these safety rules
