Information

United Kingdom

Sponsored work routes — the Seasonal Worker visa (farm work) and the Health & Care Worker visa — always through a licensed UK sponsor.

How it works

The UK’s work visas are sponsor-led: a UK employer licensed by the Home Office must offer you a job and a Certificate of Sponsorship before you apply. The Seasonal Worker route covers short-term horticulture; the Health & Care Worker route covers eligible care and health roles.

Who it is for

  • Hold a genuine job offer from a licensed UK sponsor for an eligible role.
  • Meet the English-language and salary requirements for your route.

How to apply — the safe way

  1. A licensed sponsor offers you the job and issues a Certificate of Sponsorship.
  2. Apply for the visa on gov.uk and pay the official visa fee (and healthcare surcharge where it applies).
  3. Never pay anyone for the job itself or for a Certificate of Sponsorship.

🛡 Stay safe: Register and check every step through SEFOPE — the Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment — never through a private “fixer”. A legitimate overseas job never asks a worker to pay a recruitment or placement fee (the employer pays). You may pay only official costs like your passport, and government test or medical fees.
